\"FOUNDRY TECHNOLOGY\" TRAINING AT EUROTECH IN VENLO!

Placed on 15 November 2011

For the fourth time, the technical trainees in the final year of apprenticeship at the Mönchengladbach-based textile machine manufacturer Trützschler completed their training in foundry technology at Eurotech in Venlo.

The trainees also had the opportunity to observe the manufacture of their own company's textile machine components along the value-added chain foundry, mechanical processing and preassembly.
Foundry was, of course, the most spectacular process for the young trainees and generated great interest, as it is understandably not included in the offering of vocational training colleges.
The questions on modelling, core boxes and actual foundry were endless. The experts from Eurotech recognised the targeted questions as a sign that the trainees had prepared themselves well.
The development of several Trützschler components on one of the most modern MPS plants from HWS Sinto, vacuum forming in foil and the linking of several machining centres with a new Fastems system made a lasting impression.
The group of visitors ended their tour by admiring the bobsleds of the Dutch and Canadian bob teams and the racing sport manufacturer Marcos that are co-developed and constructed by the subsidiary Viking Engineering.
As every year, the "company training" at Eurotech is a highlight of the apprenticeship at Trützschler.
